TRICK-OR-TREAT! IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN…. BOO!
Can you believe it?! Fall isalready here! And you know what that means?! You got it! It’s time forhayrides, fall festivals, corn mazes, haunted historic sites, pumpkin’ pickin’…. not to mention painting…. Halloween party throwing, costume contests, and tons of trick-or-treating and candy eating! Midwood will be one of many neighborhoods participating in the fall activitiesand happeningsaround Charlotte this year.
Have some frightful-fun at Rural Hill’s Amazing Maize Maze in the heart of Huntersville, NC! If you’re not spooked yet, you will be when you’re completely lost in a giant field of what seems to be never-ending corn that goes on for miles! Every Friday at dusk they will have “Flashlight mazes” starting now through early November! Prepared to be Spooked!
Not scared yet? Check out theGhost Walk on the grounds of the Historic Rosedale Plantation. Guests will be greeted under the Swamp Chestnut Oak in the back of the property where your tour will begin. Walk through the grounds under ancient trees. and travel the paths of the long deceased. Even in the fall, the gardens are enjoyable.
If either of the above spooky activites don’t suit you, visitSCarowinds for eight haunted mazes, three scare zones, three live shows and more than 450 disturbing monsters prowling the midways. Ah!!!By day on weekends, the park hosts the Kids Howl-o-Fest featuring mazes, pumpkin patches, trick-or-treating and more. Sounds like a blast for the entire family…. and a good way to spook the youngins!

Spend your Sundays releaxing with a cold one at Bank of America Stadium!so take in a Sunday afternoon home game at Bank of America Stadium. If you’re not a football fan, maybe you like hocky,the Charlotte Checkers start their gamesat Time Warner Cable Arena in Uptown Charlotte in early November.
In November NASCAR will celebrate the Sprint Cup Race at the NASCAR Hall of Fame! Drivers will visit with their fans every Tuesday through November 6th.Adifferent NASCAR Sprint Cup Series superstar participates each week in a 30-minute* question-and-answer session (*time subject to change). Beggin’ for a COOKOUT?! Well they’ll be firing up the grills + smokers at the 10th annual Time Warner Cable BBQ and Blues, the Southeasts largest MBN sanctioned BBQ festival! Its a Carolina good time with great food, great fun and of course rockin’ music! It will be a rockin 2 days of beer drinking, pork eating and shaking your pig tail at the Official Memphis BBQ Network Championship Cook-Off!
