The idea of Common Ground stemmed from the desire to bring the same small town festival experience I had from my childhood to the City of Charlotte, said event coordinator Matt Ferguson, Plaza Midwood is a unique and diverse area surrounded by some of Charlottes oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods. With so many neighborhoods within walking distance, I couldnt think of a better place to host the event.– As quoted on the Common Ground’s website.
Admission is free and the band line up includes local musicians like The Troublesome Youngs, Actual Proof, The New Familiars, Hayden Lee, Heywire, Moonshine Racers and Billy Jones and the Pocket. Street vendors will be filled with area craftsmen and artisans and the official after party will be hosted by Kickstand Burgers and Bar. This sounds like a Festival we won’t want to miss!
